TURKISH DEFENCE INDUSTRY PRODUCT CATALOGUE

240 L -39 Weapon System was developed to be used on the modernised M44 howitzers. Existing weapon parts were used to a great degree during development. Major modifications include a 39 calibre barrel, which was autofrettaged to increase fatigue life and which has faster twist rifling, and a larger chamber. The L-39 can be used with modern ammunition and has increased the efficiency of the M44 howitzers considerably. MKE L-39 WEAPON SYSTEM P anter is designed and produced by MKEK to meet modern combat requirements of the infantry. It was delivered to the Turkish Armed Forces in 2004. 155 mm/52 calibre barrel is rotated 180 degrees while it is moving. A vehicle tows and transports the howitzer, which has a 160 HP auxiliary power unit used while entering and leaving positions. It was designed to be able quickly change positions to avoid counter-battery fire. It can meet all requirements of modern armies. Its fire computer enables the system to put pressure on the target with high precision. It can use all modern ammunition including ERFB/BB. Its combat weight is 18,000 kilograms. Its range is 30 kilometres when used with M548A1 and 40 kilometre when used with ERFB/BB. PANTER MODERN TOWED HOWITZER F actory, Field and Performance tests of the T-20 Weapon System are completed. The weapon mechanism, barrel, ammunition link, manual gun mount (along with soft recoil absorber) and fire control box were developed simultaneously in accordance with concurrent engineering principles. EYA technology was developed for the barrel and a 20 mm barrel with high endurance was produced via this method. Standard MKE 20x2012 mm ammunition is used. The maximum rate of fire is 1,500 rounds/min. Electronic Fire Control Box can decrease the rate of fire 1-60-200-600 rounds/min, which makes the system usable on both air and land/sea platforms. It weighs 85 kg and the maximum recoil force is 5.5 kN. There are similar system applications for wheeled armoured tactical vehicles such as 4x4, 4x2 etc. T-20 WEAPON SYSTEM P roduction of 60 mm, 81 mm and 120 mm of mortars, utilized by the land forces as force multiplier during land operations, has been completed. Investments have also been made to gain capability to manufacture of medium and large calibre gun ammunitions recently. MORTAR PRODUCTION GUNS and HOWITZERS
