TURKISH DEFENCE INDUSTRY PRODUCT CATALOGUE

424 W ithin the scope of the need for attack helicopter by the Turkish Land Forces; TAI, one of the subsidiaries of Turkish Armed Forces Foundation, undertook the configuration work with the contract signed with SSM in 2007 and started to deliver T-129 ATAK Helicopters which will constitute the main ring of attack force Turkish land-aviation in the near future, the Presidency for Defence Industries assigned HAVELSAN in 2014 for provision of a turn-key training system under ATAKSIM Project, orientation, refreshing, emergency, combat readiness, sustainment and maintenance/experience training needs of the pilots and technicians to work within the scope of this new platform. The system, which is expected to be delivered in 2017, will have the ability to operate integrated with the Simulator products such as Sikorsky and Cougar, which have been previously delivered to Land Forces under HELSIM Project, and ability to perform collective training. Within the scope of project; one T-129 Full Mission Simulator (FMS), one T-129 Partial Mission Simulator (PMS), one Weapon and Avionics System Trainer (WAST), three debriefing systems, one Computer Based Training System (CBTS), one Virtual Maintenance Simulator (VMS) and facility support systems will be developed. Under ATAKSİM, the upgrade of the training system to the Phase 2 configuration and optional provision of one Maintenance and Trouble Shooting Simulator (MTSS) will also be considered. In addition to being a national system, configured according to national requirements, the T-129 simulators incorporates simulations of national defence products such as TAFF’s subsidiary ASELSAN’s AVCI Helmet Mounted Integrated Control System and ASELFLIR 300T; ROKETSAN’s UMTAS and CIRIT weapons systems.
